I just bought a new 2300. It's a 2005 left over with 1.5 hours on it. It does have the tach, cruise, side exhaust and they a putting the filter skid plate on. It has the 60" MMM, and I ordered a FEL, wheel weights, & ag tires. It should be ready to pick up in a week. Need it soon cause the grass is growing here in Missouri with all the rain were getting. What size and brand of tiller should I get for it and how much do they cost? Anybody been using the new diesel fuel yet (ultra low sulfer)? Any problems?

I am also considering the GC2310 and I was talking to the salesperson and they recommended using off-road diesel only. The other alternative they mentioned was regular diesel with Lucas fuel additive.

1972 congratulations 2300 is a great machine.I would like a tiller too. A 48" would be my choice, maybe a king kutter don't know for sure yet. I questioned off road fuel, save on tax, but someone said I might have to change oil more frequently because of high sulfur content . I use the higher grade. You may want to do a search on tillers, there have been some recent posts on them lately.

Great unit; I have a 4' WAC rear tiller that performs great with my 2006 GC2300, I have tilled hard ground four to six inch on the first pass and not have to retill to get the ground broke up any more. I have had my tiller for 5 years now and paid around $950.00 for it then. I use all synthetic lubes (Amsoil), and off road dyed diesel fuel; if you use some of the new diesel fuel on the market at the pump; I too would use the Lucas additive to be safe; if you are concerned about the off road diesel being a little more dirty on your oil; you can change just your oil filter in between a complete service and add enough new oil to replace what you lost in the filter change with no problem. This is the same way we have serviced our on and off road gas and diesel equipment for several years now and even send in oil samples to Amsoil every now and then for testing; always have gotten back great reports and no damage.
