Tractor
B6100hst
and it came with no operator instructions. My first of what may be many questions to the members of the forum is : What are the proper steps to follow in order to simply start the Kubota B6100hst ? I want to make sure I dont hurt the tractor by some mistake. Also what in your opinon is the best way to secure an operator manual?

Thanks

PD

Congrats on your purchase. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I'm still in the deciding process for my buy but I think Monday is ordering day. :)
(No, up North we don't have Memorial day this Monday)

Can't help you with any of your questions. Hope though that mine will come with the Ops manual.

Advance the throttle a little, turn the key [I believe to the right?} and hold it there while listening for the 'clicking' of the glow plugs [about 4 clicks in warm weather, maybe 7 in cold]. Then depress the clutch pedal and turn the key in the other direction until she fires and runs. Let it run idle a bit to circulate oil and build up hydraulic pressure before setting out.

Welcome, PD.
Starting routine on our B5100:
With tranny in neutral and parking brake set:
Turn key counterclockwise to heat glowplugs ... 20 sec in this weather.
Open throttle to about 3/4.
Push in the clutch pedal.
Turn key clockwise and it usually fires up on the first or second crank.
Throttle down to idle.
Ready to go!

Congrat's. Can't help on operating procedures but it looks like there's a free owners manual online here

Index of Kubotabooks/Tractor Owners Manuals/

Thanks, Chris, for this helpful link.
Do you happen to know if this is an official Kubota site or a third party maintained site as I don't find anything about the new L-Series tractors and their loaders & backhoes (eg. L3200/LA524/BH77) - or maybe they are just not yet update with their manual uploads :).

Thanks for the answer to the starting process, I have the battery on charge and will be giving it a shot shortly. I will let you know how it goes, also thanks for the link to the downloadable manual, I will see if I can get that downloaded today.

It's not official Kubota but a file sharing site where some folks have uploaded their pdf manuals. As far as I know, since they are all parts and owners manuals, there's no issues since those are free generally (though Kubota does charge for replacement owners manuals I believe). I'm sure someone will take exception, but many have used this site for years with no issues.
