Tractor
2008 Mahindra 7520
Hello All,

I'm new here to TBN and thought I would make my introduction in the Mahindra forum since this is where I have lived for the past few months researching the Mahindra tractors. I really think this website is an awesome place to come and learn. Can't contribute much knowledge; yet anyways.

After much research, yesterday I pulled the trigger on a 2008 7520 4WD w/ Loader with 200hrs. Got it for $19k from an individual. After looking at it, I think it is pretty much in new shape. I'll take delivery on Friday. Feel free to tell me how I did... Wont' hurt my feelings. Picture attached.

This is my first tractor to own, I've only rented a couple of tractors previously. I know it's a beast so I'll have to be especially careful until I get used to it. I don't have any attachments yet, but will be looking to get a toothbar, boxblade, and hd cutter in the near future and down the road hopefully a brush/root grapple and backhoe. Some mods I would like to do are TnT, Front Grille, Belly Pan, and loaded tires. Maybe even a cage and brown tree cutter, we'll see how things go. The way I see it is I have the platform decided on (the tractor), now I just need to figure out which things to add to it and the best way to use and take care of them.

I've got a little over a 1/4 mile driveway that I need to maintain and quite a bit of brush that I want to clean up on my property. I've got a good size creek that runs through my property as well as a two acre pond that I would like to make "pretty". It is a 100 acre rolling terrain property that we've been living on for about two years now. The goal is to cleanup and maintain a portion of my property without destroying my tractor. I would also like to make some trails throughout where it is easier to explore on the ATVs. I'm hoping if I take my time and am careful I can achieve this goal.

I'm sure I'll have questions about attachments and other things as I get further along, but just wanted to say hello and thank you for such an awesome website and community.

Hey Neighbor. I'm down 155 from you, right past Winona.

Congrats on your purchase. Looks like you bought a beast of a tractor. I think Coker carried Mahindra tractors now. He's on 271 just before you get to Tyler. His son Stevie has started a parts department, and so far, has done a pretty good job of it. I don't buy enough from them to really say for sure, but they're good people and fun to visit with too.

Nice tractor. Mahindra's are beasts (mine is a 2008 Mahindra 5525).

Have a ball.

I agree, a great price and it is almost broken in. Keep in mind whenever you look at ANY implements to purchase, heavy duty only. It is a waste of time to even consider anything less, all you will accomplish is to pretzel the implement. Might as well flush your money down the drain, If you want, you can ask me how I know this, but you get the idea.

Hey, load all of your tires, this makes a world of difference. Tractor feels much better, will work even harder (better ) really increases it's capabilities. You got yourself one of the best tractors in this class IMO for a great price. Feel free to ask any questions about your 7520, one of us should know the answer. ;)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! :D

Eddie - I didn't realize you were so close. That sure is one amazing lake you have over there. Your famous "Lake Thread" is actually what initially brought me to this site in the first place; whenever I was searching online thinking about building another pond on my place. So thank you sir for helping make this site what it is today! Also, thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to give him a shot at my business when the time comes.

QRTRHRS - I'm not 100% sure if I have the skid loader quick disconnect or not. I asked the owner and he didn't seem to know, so that leads me to beleive that it is not. I know there is a black piece between the bucket and FEL and you have to rotate it and hook the bucket on somehow and then there are pins on each side that you use to secure the bucket in place. This is actually one of the questions I was planning on asking once I can snap a picture of it when it gets here tomorrow. I sure would love to have the skid loader type disconnect to eventially run a variety of attachments like a grapple!

The paint on the bucket doesn't even look scratched! That is a new tractor if you ask me. Congrats on a great find.
