Boring site accident

Real or not I dont want to be the guy standing next to the fool pulling the trigger I have not seen it before but after this mornings trip I thought it would be good to post

My son and I went to our gun club today-like every week-- and you would be amazed at the folks pulling out the deer rifles. Private club- but some folks just scare the heck out of me. We changed the load -bullet depth on his 7m-08 and wanted to shoot a few and see if it liked it. Guys where there will wal-mart bags and scopes in boxes. :thumbsup: No LIE.. We put the rifle up and shot some skeet and high tailed it home My son at 12yr actual said - Dad- you think that guy ever shot a gun before:confused2:

Hate to admit but I came very close to firing once with my laser boresight still in the barrel...luckily my son was with me and spotted it and said something At a minimum it would have destroyed a $50 bore sighter...IIRC this was one of my AR15's where the boresighter nestles down in the flash hider making it a little harder to spot.

I saw a 300 Win mag blow up like that after a bore sighter was left in it. yes it seems kinda Bugs Bunny-ish but i can attest a barrel will spilt like that. I would go as far as saying you could fire 100 rifles like this and get 10 different results.
