Depends on the length of the boom.

We had a home built one years ago and I would say it was about six or seven feet behind the wheels. Obviously, at full height, you loose reach.

Looks like it is 84" long. Wonder if that is from the pins? If so you could measure how far your tires are behind the pins and subtract.
