Regarding the 3720, you might be able to run a very light one, but the 3720 would probably have to be heavily counter ballasted. In my opinion, it's too small a tractor to run one safely. I'm only ~400lbs lighter than a 5525. The 3720 is 3000lbs lighter...

Anyway, I checked out my end bearing. The race had old crusty grease in it, and very little grease left. I cleaned it all out, replaced with new grease and wow does it run smooth now. It wasn't really that noisy before, but it is much quieter now. Tomorrow I'll be cutting again....

4x4sche: Thanks for the excellent info on the accumulator. I also have a valve to turn it off (and one to lock the lift cylinder for transport). I understand what is does now.

Thanks all!

Thanks bjcsc for the reply. Alamo has a boom mower for low hp tractors called McConnel Power Arms that attach to the PTO on the rear of the tractor. Looks like you can counter weight them. Not that I would. If I remember right your boom mower is attached to the side, did you have to remove the FEL ?
