Grab hooks are not real friendly to straps, I would use the shackles with the strap and chains with the grab hooks. Sooner or later you are going to dent the top of the bucket if you insist on using it for other then carrying flower pots.

Looks good but I have a suggestion. From the photos, it doesn't look like the threads go all the way through the nylocs, looks like just a little too short. IMO split lock washers would be a better choice. Also I would reverse the bolts so that the nuts are on top - do this to prevent the threads from being buggered up by loads in the FEL, making them hard to remove later.

Here's a couple of pictures from underneath showing the bolt ends. These are fine thread bolts, 1/2x20, so I think there's enough of the thread going through the nyloc. Also with the lower pitch of the fine thread they are less likely to come loose. I went with 3 1/4 inch bolts so I didn't have to cut the ends. Using split lock washers I would of had to use the longer bolts. I thought about reversing the bolts but I figured there wasn't much thread showing and the nyloc would prevent anything from getting in the threads. I don't plan on taking them off anyways.

Yes, I agree the hooks are not friendly to straps but I didn't want to scratch them up on the first day! Also it would take a lot of flower pots to bend the top of the bucket!!

Just got around to installing the Bolt On Grab Hook from Ken on my B7500. The updated instructions that Ken sent are spot on. The install took all of 15 min. and looks and fits perfectly. The workmanship and quality of the hook and plate are outstanding. My only regret is that I didn't order three of them.
