bolens g174
Will my g174 handle a 5' box blade? Mostly maintaining driveway and grading on clay rock mixed soil. What you all think?

I have a 4' box blade and I'd say it's about all I'd put on a G174. The front end gets pretty light with it on the back. With front counter-weight you might be ok with a 5' but pulling it through rock and clay might give problems (not saying the 4' won't). It's probably something you'll have to try and report back on. If you're contemplating buying a 4' or 5' blade I'd get the 4' for this tractor.

That's what I wanted to know! Thanks, I'm a total tractor rookie. Just bought this one and learning as I go. Will cat1 attachments work on this tractor? I've never pit one on yet.

It will accept cat 1 implements. I believe some Isekis were cat 0 in the TX series, but I don't think any of the Bolens were sold strictly as cat 0 but the details are not real apparent on the actual configurations.
