I have a portion of my lawn that turns into thick nasty mud when it rains. I'm wondering if throwing some pelletized lime on it to try to firm up the soil is a good solution or not. Anybody have any opinions?

Without any pictures. Is it possible to modify the drainage and channel water away from this area.

Sorry, I can add some photos when I get home - I should've though about that. I'm not sure the best way to modify the drainage besides maybe trying to level out the area a bit better?

Yea, get the water off if you can. If not some kind of drain to daylight with gravel and tile. Pictures would help for more detailed advice.

Best,
