Bogged in the West Australian wheat belt

Good pics. I take it getting bogged is a common occurence during seeding season? I liked the one where the bumper/brush guard came off the truck - Oops! Do they have to get the seed in during the wet season before everything dries out?

We have a hard clay pan/floor and seldom see them buried like that. Combining in the fall can cut huge ruts but they tend to stay on top due to the hard pan. Should one break through that pan then it can get bad.

Thanks for the photos.

These pictures are from a competition run in a local rural paper. As WA is a BIG state, some areas have drought while others have too much rain. Many farmers plant in anticipation of rain. If it doesn't come, they can be in big financial difficulty. Others wait for the rain and hope it is not too wet.

Thanks for the link.

Looks like the members of the South East Premium Wheatgrowers Association have their share of dramas too.

The last two pics of the Nitro appear to have been taken at least a fortnight after it was initially bogged?

Following the links from the SEPWA homepage there are also some great pics of the 09/10 harvest.
