I also have a bobcat 230 with a mid point hydraulic leak I see where other owners have the same problem but do not see the fix I have it split but cannot tell where the leak is any help anybody
Bobcat Toolcat 5610G, Deere X744, Cub Cadet IH 982
The OP has the tractor split so I think he is committed at this point. I normally look closely at leak evidence first, if that doesn't help, then I would use the spray foot power to locate seepage. Problem is the tractor is split, so the OP is asking where other's have had leaks. I hope pictures are coming....
I can get pictures I have not taken any yet the leak was only when the tractor is in use the warmer the hydraulic oil the more it leaks it needs fixed as soon as I get back to it I am going to take the hydro off and see if there are any leak signs on the back side the bottom shaft that goes to the front driveshaft looks dry
Were any of the bolts a bit loose when you removed them? Esp the ones that hold the tunnel or gearbox together. Also, did they use a paper gasket, or some kind of sealant, or both?
ok we finally put the tractor back together today I do have pictures but my wife will have to post could not tell where the leak was coming from so we put new seals in lower shaft and new o rings on the back side of hydro and new o rings on all the interal lines got it all back together the hydraulics work fine but the hydrostat does nothing no movment feals like it needs primed or bleed out any body have any ideals
