Bobcat T300 rubber tracks vs steel tracks

Does anyone have a Bobcat T300 with steel tracks? My rubber tracks don't last very long (about 1000 hours), and I am considering switching to steel tracks. Do they work better than rubber? or should I say...how much better are they than rubber? How about performance...ride smoothness...any changes to the undercarriage parts to go from rubber to steel? Can anyone share their experiences / frustrations / solutions? Thanks so much
