I looked at a 2012 CT235 to purchase that is having a problem. It has rear remotes, and one of the levers was left in the detent ON, without anything connected to the remote. As a result, the tractor was run for quite some time (multiple uses) with the hydraulics deadheading, and the pump screaming, relief valve burning, and a steady leaking of fluid out of the lower fitting on the pump. When I looked at it, the owner didn't know about this lever position, so I put the lever back to neutral, and the noise and leak stopped.
I anticipate the pump will need replacing, along with leaking fitting. Does anyone have any idea if the rest of the system could have been damaged from the excessive heat build up? Perhaps all the seals, including the HST unit could be degraded? The machine drove fine, and the loader functioned great, I even lifted a load of rocks no problem. The only reason I am considering buying this gamble is because it is heavily discounted, and very well outfitted with SSQA front bucket, factory heated cab, and factory backhoe.
