If I bought a Bobcat skidsteer loader w remote couplers which has the pressure, the nipple or the coupler?
I imagine there is a standard for them all, but I dont know which.

Not sure of a "standard", but it really does not matter...either can be pressure or return depending on which way the control lever/switch is moved.

Oh, and welcome to TBN:D

Thanks for that! The welcome and the info.

The situation: I bought a used backhoe (Case D125) that originally was on a Case 660 trencher. It was on a Bobcat before I got it hence the connectors on it which I wont be using. If I plumb it backwards will the controls be backwards, so just swap around?

Also remember that most newer Bobcats have three aux connections, two that go to the aux control valve and one that is a tank drain. However, I believe the tank drain is a different size coupler.

Sorry for not replying last night...

The controls will not end up backwards, but on the hoe-or the valve on the hoe, one of the lines should be marked IN. You will have to figure out witch way to push the lever/switch that sends the fluid to the IN port.

Thanks for the replies. I just have a power block on my tractor so fluild will be flowing as soon as I crank her up.:D

I looked at the two lines going into the valve assembly and neither marked for squat that I could see. I'll get a flashlight and have a closer look.

Just to followup on this. I plumbed the backhoe to my tractor today and all went well. Plumbing worked good and all went as expected with the backhoe.
