Bobcat 773 issues

I have a good friend with a 773. The machine is having issues.

I guess the bucket works fine but he has no forward or reverse. Well let me qualify that, it surges like it wants to move but it almost seems like the brakes are locked on it.

I know nothing about these machines. I am just trying to help a good ol' boy from the holler that doesn't do much internet.

Make sure the park brake hasn't blown a fuse. Its default is to be in park if it doesn't work. If it isn't a blown fuse, maybe the park solenoid. Maybe a wire came unhooked from a connector. If it's all connected and solenoid works, may be a cut wire. Go about it in that order.

I washed out my 773 with the garden hose and got a simkar effect until the cable dried out,,,,

could be the traction lock solenoid. my 863 did the same thing and that was the problem...russ
