Had a seal problem, blowing fluid form the Gland seal. Made a mistake, thought it would only be a few bucks for replacement. I sent the cyl. to a hyd shop. They tore it apart for inspection pulling all seal, o-rings etc. The center clearance ring on the rod piston, bad, it's broke. Long story short, they wanted a fortune to repairthat was too much and they put all the pieces in a box and I picked 'em up. Problem 1.I stretched the clearance ring putting it on the piston, so I'll have to get a new one. Question: what's the procedure of installing that ring without stretching it? Do you heat it? or is there a special expanding tool for the job.
2. I purchased the OEM cylinder repair kit from Bobcat, it includes o-rings, rod seals, nut,back up ring etc. The Gland rod seals are in, AOK. the O-ring and back up are on, thats OK. So, how to install that clearance ring......confused.
