I'm new to the Bobcat 610 and the other day my drive sheave flew off the drive shaft (Honda engine). I installed a new belt and hydraulic hose, which broke, and when I started it the drive sheave immediately came loose again. I can't tighten the set screws any harder, I don't think. Do I have the balance off? I'm pretty clueless about how it is supposed to work so any help will be appreciated!

A Melroe 610 Bobcat with a Honda engine??? I know of a Briggs Vanguard engine that fits in a 610 but was unaware of a Honda. Are you using the "factory" drive sheave or is this something supplied by Honda?

I have had two Bobcat 610's over the years. They both had the Wisconsin V4 engine made for that clutch drive. I know that there is a Briggs re-power that has a special piece machined for the clutch. The shaft should be tapered and fit tight enough to need a puller to get it off the crank.
