Blue, Green or Orange?

JD790 w/300FEL $14,644
Kubota L2800DT w/LA463 FEL $14,323

All are gear Tractors. The NH may be $15,900 but the dealer thinks he can get some money from NH. the JD dealer said he'd match or beat the Kubota. NH has the best terms @ 0% for 60 months, JD 0% for 48, and Kubota 0% for 42 months.

I can't do the 0% payments on JD or Kubota. NH I can. It would be easier to go with the max term until my truck is paid off even though I'd be paying a hefty interest amount.

Anyway, all things being equal, are these good quotes and what color would you go with? Opinions and experiences welcome.

Looks like from that standpoint you answered your own questions. The NH is roughly $250/mo, JD $305/mo, and the Kubota even more. So if that is what you can afford, that is what you would get. In this case I don't think you are "settling" as any of the tractors are a good tractor. The TC30 has been around for quite a few years and has proven itself to be a reliable tractor.

I absolutely can't stand Hydro Transmissions. I know that they are all the rage but I like a tractor to have gears, the more the better. Shuttle shift is nice but hydro is not for me. I get into situations where I need to use the brakes to turn, or use the differential lock. I guess that I am just old fashioned when it comes to tractors. Even my lawn tractor (WheelHorse C16) is a gear tractor.

As long as you keep those moving parts moving, you will probably never suffer from arthritis. Just curious, Hondo, do your vehicles have automatic, or standard trannies?

I have been driving a stick shift truck for almost 30 years, and I decided the hydro trans tractor would give my left leg a break.
