Hey guys, well I blew a loader line a few days ago, long story short the line was not installed properly and it was chaffing on the loader arm. It wore through to the metal in the line and started to leak, then when I took a closer look, she let go and shot a stream of fluid about 10 feet high!!!

I got a new hose under waranty but am just wondering if it should be primed before installing, or is there any harm on just putting it on and cycling through. In my old aviation days we just left the fittings a bit loose to "bleed" the air out, then tighten them up, same for this? Any thoughts, advice?

On a side note, at the same time since I had 48 hours on the old beast (B7800) I decided to get my filters for the 50 hour oil change. How can I put this delicately.....$65.00 FOR THREE #$%^&^ FILTERS!!!!

Your on the right track. When one of mine broke I just replaced it and carried on. No problems.:D

As Egon said, just put it on and run through the cycle. It will bleed it self. Inoticed on mine shortly after got it that the hose was rubing on the lift arm also. The rubber was starting to wear. I readjusted and fixed the problem. $65 for just the filters sound like alot. When I did my 50 hour service total for fluid and filters was just over $112. All items came from the dealer.

I like to support my local dealer. But when their prices get out of line I use the Internet for cheaper prices. TractorSmart shows the price for the 3 filters at a little over $30 plus shipping.

Had the same problem many years back...replace the line added little hyd.fluid also use 3M rubber electric tape where the line rub...wrap 1/4" of tape onto new hose, and tape has shown no wear as of yet.
