CK3510H - 300hrs - Blowing Horn/Blinker fuse - So a couple weeks ago I did a quick tap of the horn to get somebody's attention, horn made s split second sound and nothing. Investigating I found the fuse blown. Fuses dont blow for no reason at all, but couldnt find any issue. Put in a new fuse and all was well... for a while. I know I used the horn at least 5 times since then but yesterday went to hit it and nothing. Any ideas?

My guess is the hot wire going to the horn may have rubbed something and is shorting out, may have moved and you were able to use it some then it moved again and shorted out. You wouldn't think anything inside the horn is bad but you never know.

As ready said start tracing back to horn slowly its going to be pain but might get lucky.

it could be a corroded connection in the fuse box, too. corroded blades that hold the fuses will make the fuses get very hot, and burn out!. I've seen this happen many times!. water or damp air is the enemy when tinned steel is used. I like to use marine grease to prevent this, after cleaning the blades really good!. you could replace that fuse with a self-resetting circuit breaker too, like they are using for car headlights now, it's too dangerous not to have headlights on a car or truck, so, they fixed that problem..
