I need some input. Has anyone here tried converting a snow blower into a leaf vac? I'm thinking this could work but I have zero experience with snow blowers so am unsure. The snow auger could be made to work like a rake with short rubber fingers. The discharge from the blower could be routed to a large mesh hopper in the bed of the Toolcat with a large diameter ribbed hose. If the hopper was designed with a top-hinged tailgate then the collected leaves could be be easily dumped. What could/would be possible problems with this setup on a Toolcat that I'm missing here? TIA.

I've thought about that for years. Just haven't had a free weekend to do anything about it! Sounds good in theory. Just not sure about the fan suction / blowing ability.

I do have a spare 6' snowblower just sitting around. Are you close to Ontario? We could brainstorm this out.

You'd have to make sure that the SB you are using has the 8.0 Hydro Motor Pkg = High speed, Low Torque Fan, 2 hydro hoses connected to Toolcat. This motor package should give you more fan suction and velocity thru the chute than the 9.6 Hydro Motor Pkg = Low speed, High Torque Fan, 3 hydro hoses connected to Toolcat.
