I have a JD 4400 with 220 hours, I noticed what I thought was excessive smoke coming out of one of two hoses from the engine. Any suggestions, there is no oil consumption and the engine is not heating up?

Any suggestions on how to repair cracking plastic hood and side panels?
Thanks.

Nada on the smoke....however for the plastic go to harbor freight (or some other "tool" store) and buy a plastic "welding" kit...they're not to expensive and work pretty well...oh, btw not to imply any lack of knowledge but are you sure it's "smoke" and not steam from a coolant line... Or possibly "smoke" from a hydraulic line ? Just a thought...

Oops, just saw the "not heating up" statement...check hydraulic lines, fittings... That's oil and if it drips on a hot engine, bingo, smoke...
