Here's a quick tip that might save someone some problems.
If you are parking outside and have a block heater make sure the cord is not hanging down!!
I went out to plug in my block heater today so I could clean my driveway. I popped off the cap on the 3 prong plug and the whole inside was a block of solid ice!!
The cord was hanging down so some snow had melted and ran down the wire into the cap. Fortunately it was warm enough that I could get it started without the heater. Now I have the cord arranged so that the plug cap is UP!!
