I was working my dk pretty hard yesterday, loader, york raking an area I was cleaning up. I was running about 1800-2000 rpm's steading, (hst). I noticed a very slight power loss with a small puff of dark exhaust. It happened twice. Never happened before, with 200 hours.
Everything seems O.K, running normal. It was like a hick-up.
What can cause this? Should I be concerned?

When you say dark, I would guess a black color. Probably an injector sticking but 200 hours is a young tractor. Maybe try some Power Service fuel additive or I use Stanadyne to clean it. Maybe a small spec of dirt made it's way through. Doesn't take much. There was a post about a month ago where a member was using fuel with a high sulfer content that had his injectors sticking.

I'm due for a air filter change (1 year). Guess I'll do the fuel filter too.

I think you just bogged it a bit and loaded it up. Your running low RPM's. Try 2200 - 2400 and see what happens. I.E 80% of max rpm which I am guessing is 2600.

Just a thought.
