Bird Has Passed Away

Farm With Junk is another I seem to recall…

I remember him; he was the Ford guy that towed a lot.

About the time Diamondpilot stopped posting he had bought a Duster 340 or similar car at an auction. He private messaged me with a pic of it. I suspect nothing bad happened with him he just moved on.

I believe posters move on after a fashion. I didn't post for a couple of years myself. Other things get in the way I guess or at least for me they did. About the only other forum I frequent is the Smith and Wesson forum but only because I personally know 2 of the moderators there and they actually have a political sub forum where you can discuss that thorny subject without fear of getting ostracized. One of the mods on there is a North Carolina Congressman. They both visit here and they both shoot on my private range as well.

Yes, the "Chalkey Cup" from the days before cupholders were a thing on tractors.

Miss HARV; he was a good guy, made the "Christmas Tractor" animation.
My mistake: Harv, not Mark. Did he pass? Or just quit the site? I can’t remember.

After sale of property and tractor, HARV moved on to different interests.
I think WroughtNHarv moved on to spend more time with his wife. I believe she had a cancer diagnosis, and they were "living like they were dying", spending as much time together and trying to experience all the joys of life.

I kind of remember that. There have though, been a number of "Harv's" over the years. HARV lived just south of me in the Ca Gold Country. He's the one who made the Christmas tractor animation.

Wroutghtharv and I are still friends. Had a long phone call with him last week. He and Glenda are doing good. Just moved into a Barndominion that they built first of the year.
Harv with Christmas cartoon is a different person.

That makes me so happy to hear that!

I recall 'Cowboy Doc'. If I'm correct, he was an ER physician. His (daughter I think) did some kind of competitive rodeo where she rode a horse around barrels or maybe lassoed something. Heck, she's probably got grandkids by now lol.

I discovered this site as I was looking for a Kubota. Wife essentially said nothing doing. (how silly is that.... surrounded by 100+ acres of fields, we're building house, a loader & backhoe, boxblade would come in mighty handy)

Essentially bugged her to death, she finally gave in and said to shut up and just go buy the backhoe her brother was selling. Turns out it was the JCB industrial and digs 15 1/2' deep. Then bought my 'lawn mower', the International 1066. I would have settled for something like an "L" series, maybe 30/40 hp. Getting something larger never crossed my mind, now I can't fathom having something smaller.

I've always been very impressed with the library of knowledge this site has.

You are all awesome. If we ever get perplexed with something, one of the first things she'll say is for to go ask my tractor buddies.....

I think the Doc had two daughters, as I recall.

Long time TBN member and original moderator @Bird Senter has passed away at the age of 84.

For more than two decades, Bird was a cornerstone of TBN. He was a prolific contributor to TBN both as a member and moderator, and an all-around great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Dallas about ten years ago.

So much of his wisdom and humor was shared on TBN and I'm very grateful that we all were lucky enough to have him here.

May he rest in peace!

I have not posted since 2009 and was looking through my old e-mail and decided to renew my password and check out the forum again. I did not make many posts but remember when Bird replied to my questions. He seemed like a real good guy who always help everyone out. I would check out the forum often even if I did not post.
I wondered what happened to him and decided to search him in members and just found out he had passed. RIP Bird you are one of the great ones.
