Bio Hydraulic Fluid conversion

Has anyone converted there Hydraulic fluid to Bio degradable Fluid?
A sales guy came to my shop with this Product and I am considering it.
on occasions we do have hoses break or leak on our cranes. I also like the idea on using it in my backhoe because I'm always digging down by the pond. What do you think. Conversion or Not?

Ah yes, the magic word. Can. I would ask him, does it or doesn't it? I love the idea of this. What I don't love is salesmen not being specific. Water can do the same things in your hydraulic system that his fluid can. Note the magic word, can. Sorry, I tend to be cynical with salesmen.

I would be very concerned that if it is biodegradable that it would biodegrade IN my tractor. They can claim oxidative stability but then how does it biodegrade, oxidation is the primary way thing biodegrade.

I would be afraid that I would end up with 12 gallons of rancid oil and in my case an exploded transmission.
