A week ago today our golden retriever Cody passed away in the night. Wednesday morning I had the dubious distinction of carrying him, on his bed, to the bed of my truck. In order to do this I had to move my sweetie's car out of the garage. When I was done and moving her car back in the garage this song was playing on the radio. As soon as I turned the key came the lyrics "Want you to love me like my dog does"

Fortysix years old and crying like a little baby. He was a good dog.

Sorry to hear that. It's always sad to lose loved ones. My dad is 63 and he cried when he lost his collie. I think the collie was 16 years old.

He couldn't bury it. I had too, and it was even hard for me to bury him. I cried like a baby too.

I also had to bury Rex's mom and her other pups. "Rex is the one in my avatar"

I didn't wanna believe they were dead. My sister asked me don't you need a tarp or something too move them. I told them no. Just my bare hands will do. I don't want gloves or anything in the way when I'm holding them for the last time.

I just picked them up and carried them to there grave. Did the same thing with Rex's Mom and the Collie.

Cody was 16 years old too. He had a good long life, and towards the end we were preparing ourselves for the worst. He got to go out on his pillow at home, we couldn't have asked for any more than that for him. No matter how much you prepare yourself though, it still hits you pretty hard.
