Bobcat CT2025H
I bought a brand new Bobcat CT2025 from a dealer about 7 months ago. They gave me a printed receipt but the dealer never signed it (he was out of office when I picked it up). I’ve asked 3-4 times for a signed copy but to no avail. Is this a big deal? I’d feel better having something signed.

No it’s not a big deal. There are signatures on your purchase agreement.
Your receipt is your proof of purchase and payment or monetary transaction.
His signature simply means an approval of agreement which obviously already happened or else you would not have taken possession.

It's not like a car, a printed receipt is all you need. It's not needed when you sell it either. There's no titles or anything...

The bill of sale is all I ever get when I buy tractors. I use it to show value when updating insurance coverage. Other than that, it sits in a file folder in my office.

Depends on the dealer. Reputable, established, new? Better have the serial # or some identifiable mark included.

If suspecting adminstrative incompendance with this firm then best verify they registered you with the manufacturer for warranty.

That automatically happens with purchase and there was no “suspect” nor alluding to “incompetence” by the op.

What?
As if he bought a “ genuine Rolex” from someone on a city street corner?

We are talking business here not trading pocket knives. In the event (hypothetically), you have to prove ownership, your paperwork better identify your item, be it a tractor or a Rolex, than just state red tractor or gold watch.
