Cadet LT1050 won't start. Charged battery. Solenoid just clicks. Will try jumping right to positive sterter post tonight. Hope it cranks.

It did turn over with direct jump. Bad solenoid?

Probably a bad solenoid or a bad "trigger" connection to the solenoid.
If you run a jumper wire from the large "battery" terminal on the solenoid to the small "trigger" terminal, does it crank?

Put in a new solenoid last night. Fired right up! The old one was leaking some tarry stuff. Good to go for another season.:cool2:
