Hi Everyone,
I have a single axle landscape trailer rated for 3,000 lbs. I want to trade up to a dual axle trailer rated for at least 4,000 lbs. I just bought a John Deere 1050 with loader and backhoe. The tractor itself is around 2,500 lbs and with the loader and backoe I am hitting close to 4,000 lbs. What do you suggest that I do for trading up to a larger trailer? Trade in to a trailer dealer or sell private then buy private?

Thanks,
Eric

Sell your old trailer outright. I see used trailers sell everyday on Craigs List and Ebay for more than new ones. People are stupid. They get the mindset they cant afford new and overpay for used.

You can do better with the cash in your hand versus a trade in.

I have that same trailer (Big Tex 35SA) with a fold down ramp and many landscape guys use it. You want have a problem finding a buyer.
