Tractor
John Deere 5055e
I went to a fair the other day and sat on a B7510. I own a BX1500.

The big mistake is I can't stop thinking about that tractor. All that power. All that ground clearance...

I don't really regret buying the BX1500, but I've moved to a much larger lot since I bought it last year. Now I could really use the extra horsepower to improve the land - chipper, brushhog, etc.

What to do?! I can't justify a $2000+ loss on the BX plus an extra $3500+/- to get into the B7510. In fact, I don't even have 35 hrs. on the BX...

Can I get some kind of amnesia pill to forget the whole experience?!

Keep the BX for a mower and get the tractor for real work !!!!

Just chalk it up to experience. You'll buy that B7510 (or the equivalent) in a few years...

Does your wife know about this other love in your life ? LOL

Sell the 1500 and buy something one notch up from the 7510. I bought our BX24 with the intent of keeping it forever. The only way I would replace it would be for a newer model of the same thing someday.

Personally if you are going to buy a tractor larger then something to just mow the lawn, anything less then a TLB is a waste of $$ to me.

Not but one thing to do about it. Don't play dumb. :D :D That $5500 delta and a few more C-notes will have the 7510 in your garage. Done deal.

I vote with KevinJ. Keep the BX1500. You'll need something to pull the wagon after you fill it with dirt/chips/compost/whatever using the B7510. Plus the wife can get the mowing done with the BX while you're out doing "man" things with the B.

Now you won't lose a nickel on the BX. See how easy that was? We're good at that here.

Go for the glory. At least get a B3030, don't fiddlefart around with a marginally bigger tractor. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess :D

Go back to the fair and sit on an L series - you'll forget that B series instantly.

So, from what you guys recommend, an M9540 is about the smallest upgrade I ought to consider?

i loved my b7510hst. i was a great tractor. i still miss it.

don't underestimate the b7510. it will amaze you for the hp. i expected the least and was very surprised.

Check with your neighbors, they might be interested in your BX1500 and then go with a B7610.It's the same as the 7510 but with a little more HP and a few more bells and whitsles. I think the 7510 has 21HP where as the 7610 has 24HP. Same frame though.I love my B7500 HST.

what bells and whistles?

you will run out of traction before hp on either.

I had the same problem with my bx2230. I bought it and a short time later, I fugured the B7800 would better suit my needs. It was on my mind for 2 years, and I finally got the 7800. You won't forget about it, and it will be worth it.

I was in the same boat....I had my 2230 for 3 seasons before I traded it for a 3030. Best descision! But, you really have to check your needs vs. wants. I would've gone with the larger L series(WANTS), but the sheer size and weight of the L series wasn't practical for my lawn mowing (NEEDS). Went with the B3030 and have never looked back! What a great machine! :D :D :D

I have a 7510 hst and I love it so far...it has all the hp I think I'll need. I've been finish leveling a garage site that was roughed out with a local friend's dozer and my 7510 will pull a 5' scraper blade full of dirt without any problem. It also handles a 4' bushhog with no problem...my r4 tires are filled though. I have about 15 cleared acres and I think it's perfect for my needs and the price I paid for it...$9500 with the 60" MMM...it only had 64 hours on it. For really big jobs I can always have my friend and his dozer and backhoe for $40/hr. It would take a lot of hours to justify me buying a bigger machine with a backhoe/loader. Another advantage to the b7510/7610 series is that I can easily carry it on my 5'x10' trailer and pull it with my tacoma. So if it ever needed a major repair I can easily haul it to a dealer. I previously owned a 1966 massey ferguson 135. Nice old tractor, but not even close in efficiency to my kubota. The little kubota will fit in tighter places, is much more nimble, feels more stable and is just more fun to use.
regards, Scott
