Nice to see. The mobilezation charge on that job was pretty high. I like the use of the steel plate in the road. When I worked around pipelines they would run across or down roads using car tires under the tracks. The guy on the back would pick the tire off the road and lay it on the top hoe,s track. This track would carry the tire forward to a person on the front who removed it and placed it back on the road to be ran over again. 24 tires and 4 guys kept it moving pretty good. It was cool if you were picked to be part of that crew.

And for their next trick, they will try to do the same thing on Lombard Street in San Francisco.

Not only does the rear steer, the last 4 wheels also can articulate independent of the 4 in front of them.

That looks like a nice road to ride a bicycle up and down.

Did you see the size of the safety chains and how they had them attached to those worn out/broken tracks on the way back down?
