I have a slide show (pps) of the worlds biggest earth mover. Make in Germany by a comany called Krupp. This thing is HUGE! It picked up a D8 dozer and you can hardly see the dozer unless it's pointed out .....which the slide show does. Has anyone else seen this?
It is to large to post on TBN. Does anyone have a place we can put it that folks could link to it? The file is 714k
I'd like to share, but don't know where ......

There is already a thread about this in the construction forum. It is something to say the least. That dozer is big itself, but when next to that super-huge excavator, it's tiny. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Where did the Dozer go?

Not that it makes much difference nowdays, but Krupp (pronounced Croop) was the largest artillery and heavy gun manufacturer in Germany during the ****** years. Post-war re-industrialization sent them into the construction/mining equipment industry.

I've seen the slide show! VERY impressive to say the least.

Thanks JayC.
Guess I should have looked in the construction forum first /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The one described there is the same slide show I have.

Truely amazing....but I have to wonder why they'd build it like that? Is it just to say they can or what? It would take so long to get from one area to another that I'd think it hard to recoup any investment.

Here is the link to the slide show again for anyone who didn't see the thread in the construction forum.

Normally, they don't have to transport anywhere. Typically they stay at one mine for the entire life. I think they moved one across the highway years ago near Mt. Pleasant, TX. Not as big as the German one, but still massive.
