Cast in India last time I checked... Thank the EPA for that They basically put every grey iron foundry out of business with their emissions mandates.
I thought they had a foundry in Illinois.

I have no problems with computers in tractors or trucks. That has been common since the 80's. I have no problems with common rail diesel its proven and it works. What I have a problem with is proprietary software, locked ports, etc. Requiring a dealer to be the one to troubleshoot your equipment. IMO the writing is on the wall. "They" are attempting to phase out fossil fuel. Emission standards are becoming almost impossible to meet requiring more and more trash embedded on your engine at a time when quality control and skill in the workforce is the worst in history. The days of the million mile consumer diesel ended around 2004 when the last 7.3 Powerstroke rolled off the line. 6.7 is a good engine but its not even comparable to the 7.3 in reliability and cost of ownership. There is a reason that pre 2004-5 diesels are in such high demand. Clean 7.3 OBS trucks are selling for 15k-30k+ along with LB7 Duramax under 150k miles expect to pay 20k+
I posted a reply to this gentleman here ^ yesterday and I came back to check this thread and now it's gone. This is the second time within a week that my posts have been removed by this forum. It seems to me that if I say something the moderators don't politically agree with they just get rid of it.

Was there politics in it?

Some models of Cummins, such as the X12 are made in China also. Just the way it is now.

You should see how many parts on my Cat 950M loader have "Made in China" stamped on them.

The new Harley Davidson that is coming out is also made in China. There is no escaping it now.

Certainly is, don't buy it.
Exactly, precisely! If I need it, and it says Made in China on it, I don’t buy it, look for one made elsewhere, or find a used one I can use or refurbish. Cheaper is NOT better if it’s made with fillings extracted from slave laborer’s mouths involuntarily. But, it seems that all the average American cares about are beer in the fridge and a big screen to watch the latest version of lions tearing people apart in the Roman coliseum.

I would like to agree, BUT......how do we find ANYTHING that doesn't have something from China in it?

Even most of the worlds prescription drugs are made in China.

They didn't need a war. We already let them win.
