Big Ash Burl

Anyone on here make some cool woodworking projects out of a burl? I never really noticed this burl but i have ridden snowmobile by it for years. The tree is now dying and I really would like to try and get it from the land owner. It's part of a 500-1000 acre parcel that was cut very heavy last winter and this is in a wet area they couldn't cut.

It looks to be like 4-5ft in diameter.


I am going to reach out to the land owner and see if I can cut it before the tree dies completely and falls.

Wow. I spend a lot of time looking at trees and have never seen a burl close to that one. I would think the right wood turner could make some beautiful stuff from that.
