Im sure it will never make it to the US. New Holland had something similar in large tractors only.

Kubota has bi-speed here on the large M's and I think on the narrow M's.

We have bi speed...but have never used it.

I suppose it's useful for cultivation or other precision ag uses. I'd be interested to hear from other users if we've be missing out on something. Our tractor is used for fire wood gathering, mowing, rototilling.

I can see it being great for finish mowing. Does it give you almost a zero turn finish? Maybe an uncut radius of a couple of feet?
