BH92 backhoe attachment

Will this fit on my L5460? Has the mounting plate and asking $5000 for it.. Looks brand new..

Should fit any L60 according to their brochure. Granted you’ll have to make sure the subframe will fit your 5460. Also you will need the power beyond kit installed.

I have one on my L6060HSTC. That’s a good price compared to what I paid new. It’s a great backhoe but I’ve had some external fluid leakage on my valves that the dealer is supposed to fix next time the tractor is in for service. You can get a lot of dirt work done with it.

I already have the 3rd function installed on the front loader and top an tilt on the rear,im sure all that doesn't matter but...
What all else is involoved to be able to install the hoe other than the frame bracket?

How much did you have to pay new if you don't mind me asking?

5 is a good deal. I think they’re around 12k. I paid 4 for mine but it had been outside for a while.

A hydraulic kit is required to provide power to the BH. It's just an adapter plate with 2 hoses. It bolts to the hydraulic "block" where the FEL is connected. Two hoses run to the rear and are mounted below where the rear remotes are located. They connect to the 2 hoses on the BH92. The male and female quick connects must be connected together when the hoe is not installed.

I paid 9K for my BH92 but the deal involved a trade so the actual price may be different.

I encourage you to confirm everything, but it looks like a new subframe is required to mount on 60 series tractors: BH4999 $942 and mount kit (BH4982 or BH4982) that will vary depending on ROPs or Cab $564.

Thanks moship,I was hoping it would swap out to my L5460.. I do however have the top and tilt kit on the rear of mine,would there still need to be some more lines run or can use the quick connects off it?

How are you guys moving the tractor forward after digging a few feet? Im worried that i'll have to get off and on the tractor too much digging any distance at all.
I know some tractors have a switch that you can operate from the backhoe seat to move you forward and backards..

Lift the FEL boom/bucket, use your hoe boom and dipper to lift the rear up and push it forwards, drop it back on the stabilizers and push your FEL boom back down. I actually lift the stabilizers slightly and do the same, others I've seen leave the stabilizers. With the stabilizers up you can just push on wheels, and lift and slew to center/square up to trench, then drop stabilizers.

That's what I was thinking 100 td but sometimes the tractor has to be turned etc.. I wished Kubota offered a switch you could use to pull the tractor forward without getting back into the drivers seat like some of the other models offer..
Makes a big difference digging a water an sewer line in a day not having to crawl back an forth.

I used the cruise control lever to drive my tractor forward from the backhoe. It’s a lot faster than trying to push it forward.

A long stick to the HST pedal!
As a trench turns, I turn the front wheels before pushing. If you have to turn sharp, would probably be quicker swapping place, but for general runs, very quick to push with boom/dipper.

With a little modification to the grabber jaws, I can reach and grip the HST pedal, FEL joystick and steering wheel from the BH seat. To make a turn, I raise the front wheels off the ground with the FEL and turn the wheel with the grabber.

Hey Nice Tractor ! You have the Big version in this series and i have the baby version L3560 . I really love the tractor and all the great features it has. Although i wish Kubota would really up the output on their hydraulic pumps ( need more flow )25gpm or more would be nice . I also have the BH 92 backhoe hydraulic thumb and 18" and 24 " pin on style buckets. Currently i am looking at designing a extenda-boom for it, using my foot pedal feature to operate it. i enjoy tinkering so i guess i have my work cut out for me. While a excavator would be quicker , the tractor is capable of many more functions and cheaper than an excavator !
