Good of them to do a voluntary recall! I've always liked BFGoodrich. :applause::applause::applause:

I buy my tires from Discount Tire and they rotate and re-balance them, fix any flats, etc. at no charge. I don't put a lot of miles on my vehicles anymore so the set of B. F. Goodrich Long Trail T/As I now have on my 2001 Ford Ranger now have 34,500 miles on them, I had them rotated and re-balanced this morning and they still have 6/32 to 7/32 of tread. They're supposedly rated for 60k miles and it looks like they may last that long. They're less than 2 months short of being 5 years old.

I see that you have the same luck that I do 'blue.

I'd argue that Murphy was in a pretty good mood this time - Better that you get to jack up a PITA camper at a location/time of your choosing, than on the side of the road !

I have 70,000 on my 2004 Dodge 3500 BFGoodrich tires. They are from the factory and still going strong. Plenty of tread left too!

A big thumbs up to BFGoodrich  Since I had to take the tires off and take them in they upgaded my tires to a set of Michelin XPS Ribs. A difference of $600 for the set!

Unless something has changed in recent years that I don't know about (which is a possibility, of course), B. F. Goodrich, Michelin, and Uniroyal are all owned by the same company.

There are also two Uniroyal tires being recalled too. I am very pleased at how quickly they took care of this.

a upcharge of $100 per tire ????? the recall says replace at no charge......
BFGoodrich recommends removal of these tires as soon as possible. The removed tires will be replaced with a similar product free of charge

I didn't have to pay anything. BFGoodrich took care of it all. I was just saying the cost difference between the two sets of tires was $100 per tire.
