This really about the hoses, not the actual mower, but I have a new FH-AGL-145 flail mower. I installed the mower on my JD 4066R tractor with dual rear remotes. When I was testing it, the fittings at the hose end are leaking. I have emailed Betstco, but thought someone here may have run into this. I am pretty mechanically savvy, took the fittings apart and cannot see how they are supposed to seal. Appears the fitting has a flat face and there is a mating flat face inside the fitting. Picture of the fitting and where it is leaking is attached. Thanks, Kurt

I had to change the ends on mine. They jic ends on a non jic reducer

Now you've done it. You know much of the "crybaby crowd" here absolutely abhor teflon tape in any form, for any reason.. That ought to spark some outrage.

But I agree with you. That's exactly what I would do, provided the adapter and coupler threads are both tapered pipe thread. One would need to remove one to confirm that.
