I have a GT245, but my question applies to any tractor with a hydro tranny.

Keeping the tranny cools is obviously important, since it has its own cooling fan. But what's the best way to keep grass/dirt/mud/etc from accumulating on the tranny? You can't effectively reach in there and clean it by hand. Is it OK to spray the tranny off with a power washer, or would high-pressure water cause other problems?

I think compressed air would be better than a pressure washer.

I would try a product call mo-deck spray. It is designed to be sprayed underneath mower decks to keep them from building up. I would try spraying it on a clean transmission to help keep debris from building up. I have used this product before and works great. Makes it a lot easier to clean if I get into heavy stuff.
