best under armour / skid plates

I got my kubota BX23s on Monday . Im am looking at getting the under belly protected.Bro tek has a front ($100) and rear ($180) skid plate seems pretty rigid . Expanded has just a rear ($159) Its thinner, I think from the video but better protection than the original. could not find any more Any input on what to buy? Thanks all

I have the BXpanded, and very happy with it. Also heard good reports on the BroTek. Don't think you could go wrong with either. I would choose the one that best meets your needs.

I had the Bro-Tek skid plates on my BX 25 for 9 years. Never had an issue with them - other than having to remove the rear one to do my 200 and 400 hour service.

Thanks for the input . I will be spending the next 2 years clearing a lot of small (1 -2 ") trees . so Im leaning towards the Bro TEk set up . a bit more expensive but looks like more protection.Thanks Roger

From Bro-Tek site: "Please note that Bro-Tek does not recommend having the front skid plate installed while the mid mount mower (MMM) is attached to your machine. The good news is that removing the front skid plate only takes minutes and reinstalling is just as easy when mowing season is over. The rear skid plate can remain in place while using the MMM. For those of you with a BX and a front snowblower, both plates can remain on the tractor without interfering. The PTO door is made for the full travel of the shaft"

Yes, the rear skid plates remains on with the MMM , but not the front, easy on/off .
The rear skid plate can remain on even tranny oil change, the a hole for the drain plug and the filter can be spin out, may have to slack the u bolt.. but that it..
Keep in mind Bro-Tek is the only skid plate that to protects the aluminum tranny case.. major damage if rock gets it good..

My main chores are going to be removing brush/small trees for the next couple years and I have a zero turn swisher mower for lawn so I think Bro Tek full armour is my choice
