best products for asphalt repair

What is everyone's opinion of the best pruducts and methods to repair cracks and break-ups of asphalt before sealing? Appreciate the help.

I just sealed my driveway (yesterday and today).. I got my sealer from Lowes (blackjack brand).. they had tubes of stuff for cracks 3/4" or smaller that you use in a caulk gun.. for larger they had patch type stuff..

I think you would try to seal them if possible. It may help to keep it together longer.. along the edges of my driveway it is crumbling away from driving too close to the edge..

For just open cracks...I found a sealer in Home Depot that came in a gallon jug...it had a very unique consistency and constantly needed to be shaken up but it was very effective in sealing the cracks...

As a warning... I was sealing my driveway yesterday and it was pushing 90 outside.. by 2pm the asphalt was so hot the sealer was drying faster than I could get it spread out evenly.. it made an awful looking mess with this extra sealer on top..
