Best oil for Branson 4220i?

not uncommon. many stores do regional things. we don't have snow chains here in stores either,

walmarts in non rural ereas usually don't carry the 5g pails of gear oil or UTF fluid .. etc.

I can see snow chains yea but a common commodity like oil? that's not good...

just that weight.. 10w40 and 10w30 C rated oil in a hot state like florida have a low demand due to climate.

15w40 and 5w40 / synthetic.. yeah.

sound guy you are right about the area thing for oil. I have found a lot of people around here (South-east VA) are using Shell's Rotella-T. The tractor supply store here only had Rotella-T1 (30w) and Rotella-T 15w-40. I got the T1 30w for the summer; but found Rotella-T 10w-30 at advance auto parts. They had all weights of Rotella-T including T6 the synthetic brand. So, if you have one there in Fla or any auto store should order it for you. You are most likly right that they are not going to stock a grade they don't move (sale) fast. Here is a link to help out;

napa can get most anything for me.. just don't stock it.. etc.

Just use an oil in the viscosity grade and API classification that is the cheapest you can find. Virtually all the oils on the shelf come from two major suppliers and are blended and a label is slapped on it to impress everyone. Virtually all the base oil in N America is refined by Motiva out of Port Arthur, TX. The majority of the add packs are made by Infineum. Over 90% of the oil on the shelves is blended from products produced by these two companies. Just find the best price on the oil that meets your manufacturers classification and grade requirements. Higher prices do not equate to higher quality. You are just paying for them to advertise and sponsor race cars.

best oil is what you are looking for. HIgh ZDDP, low/no ash, HIGH tbn, Low wears etc if you test your oil...
