CK4010hst 5.5 hours having major issues. Dealer is dragging feet getting resolution
Can you elaborate on "Dealer is dragging his feet "?

Have you spoken to the owner or general manager of the dealer?

Try to find out if they have duplicated your issues, and what is the status of the resolution.
For example they may be waiting for parts or additional service information from Kioti.

If the GM/owner is not responsive to you, my next step would be calling Kioti customer service directly.

Now for my unsolicited advice.......Keep all conversations professional and on point. It is easy and understandable to be angry at the situation, however venting on the people that can solve the problem does not help.

You can do your venting here, with us.

Also document all conversations. Date, time, name, and what was said.

When you have time I would (as I'm sure others would also) like to hear of the issues your having.

1- Major issues. What are they in detail?
2- Dragging feet-exactly what does that mean?
3- What have you done to help facilitate a solution?

A detailed summary of all phone, written and personal interactions should be captured to protect you and the dealer.
A calm professional demeanor will go a long way to keep a long term dealer/owner relationship once this is resolved.

So keep us posted, lots of wisdom nd seasoned folks here that can help.

While being friendly and understanding, ask the dealer for your territory reps contact info. The feedback when I popped into my dealer's open house this last spring is that Kioti, not the dealer, was really dragging their feet to approve warranty repairs, and that their territory rep was soon to be replaced—which they were hopeful would go a long way to resolve warranty isses that made them, the dealer, look incompetent.

Did you purchase your tractor from the dealer from who you are seeking repairs?

New tractor owners often feel all problems are warranty issues but in the world of tractors this is not reality.

Dealers are reluctant to commence repairs on tractors where the customer feels warranty should pay but the dealer knows from experience the tractor builder may not reimburse the dealer for repair outlay.

Some program enactments take years to implement, some are more publicity than substance.

Jeffy, a dealer must be able to ascertain if a fix is warranty related, ____Immediately. !!!! Many dealers of less popular brands are current or former trailer dealers, converted to tractor dealers.

Problem w/ replacing a dealer, is who is on a waiting list? If no one steps forward, less popular brands seem to feel that a crappy dealer is better than NO area representation. They can work w/ the deficient dealer toward improvement. But does this philosophy actually work?

Possible reason why kioti US presence over many years, still has them at 3% market share or less. ?

There is much consternation and projections concerning what WILL go wrong w/ RK tractors and HAS NOT but here we have an established brand w/ demonstrative issues.

The philosophy at the top corporate echelons dictates the results at the dealer/consumer level.

If I were a manufacturer's rep and found a dealer neglecting customers that way, they would not be a dealer much longer.

Having just battled an issue on our new 4010 for a year, I can honestly say our dealer was outstanding but the Kioti support has led us to where if we ever buy again, it most likely will not be Kioti. Not only in the lack of any attempt to make us, the customer, happy but in the way they force the dealer network to "try this, try that, replace this, replace that, didn't work?, replace it again..." and when the issue was finally resolved, out dealer is told "yeah, we've seen that on several units recently". WHAT?!?! Dealer is aggravated, we are aggravated. Wife's phone calls to Kioti were not so pleasant unfortunately. 4 solids hours out of it this past weekend so all is well. Howling again!

Just curious to what kinda issues are people talking about

To the thread creator, (OP). What problems are you referring to that the dealer is 'dragging feet' on?
Also, Upstate Papi, what issue took a year to resolve for you?

Before people go off on rants about dealers, their networks, and similar, maybe we should get some details as to what the OP is talking about and then advise solutions. What is the problem, what has been done to date to fix it. What is dealer doing or not doing from the OP's POV that has him aggravated?

These kind of threads sure can be a head scratcher. hey we all at times just need to vent.
BUT, if you're really looking for help then good grief provide some details so informed and experienced folks can help.
Otherwise, it looks like another empty thread of baseless rants.

Well yah'll have a good night.
My sutures come out tomorrow and just mowed 2 acres of johnson grass about 6 foot tall. ( snuck in a day early on being able to work)
Yeah, back to work no more sitting around to heal.....woo-hoo....ahem ah sorry folks ...see yah'll...:D

Having major issues but we can't hear what the problem is ???

Most people start these threads because they are upset because they paid a pile of money for something that shouldn’t cause them aggravation for many years but manufacturers pump these things out like sauce through a sick calf.

They install cheap parts that most times they can get away with lasting until warranty runs out, other times like this they can’t and the op is upset as would I and most people.

The question is “Best contact for new kioti issues”, and the answer is,

Go to the dealer and talk to the boss, get the rep involved and go from there, there isn’t anything anyone here can do for anyone other than that.

5.5 hours on it, the op doesn’t need to troubleshoot a new tractor. Basically you need to let the people at the dealer know you want it fixed and you want the rep involved if they are unable to do so in timely fashion.

If I were a manufacturer's rep and found a dealer neglecting customers that way, they would not be a dealer much longer.

So you expect the dealer to pay out of there pocket to fix a problem caused by misuse? Sorry that’s not how it works.

Hello everybody, Ill introduce myself here as the actual owner of this tractor, the 2018 ck4010 HST with 5.5 hours on it which I picked up august 15th. 3 days later I hook up to a 72" caroni finish mower and mow 3.5 acres. Definitely not a hot supper for a new tractor by any means. This is where the troubles begin.

after about 75% completion of this task i turn off the PTO and dismount the tractor to move a small tree stump which i had previously ripped out of the ground with a skid steer months ago and never moved. So i tossed it in the bucket and remounted the tractor, engaged the PTO and went on my merry way for about 10 seconds before the PTO disengages. OK that's a little strange but no big deal hit the clutch and push the lever. No dice. let off clutch, hit clutch again push lever. No dice. for the sake of saving me typing I tried everything i could think of to get this thing to engage, yes I disconnected the PTO shaft from the mower and spun it by hand. Everything spins freely and lever isn't seized linkage wise but it WILL NOT engage.

Monday i call the dealer. they say they've never hear of this situation before and they needed to contact Kioti and they would be in touch. I didn't hear from them for 2 days so of course i'm as impatient as it gets so I call them. They explain the PTO shift fork did not get "buffed" properly and that kioti would send a kit and i would hear something from them as soon as they had shipping information. Thursday rolls around and I'm tired of looking at the pathetic orange lump of metal i just spent a large chunk of change on so i deliver it to the dealer. They said they're still waiting on parts from kioti and mentioned the words "back-ordered" but they weren't for sure and would call me as soon as they hear anything. now its Tuesday of this week and haven't heard from them. I call Kioti corporate in Wendell NC and talk to a lady in customer service to figure out the actual situation with the parts. She DID call me back and explained that parts should be headed to my dealer tomorrow and I should contact my dealer for any farther questioning.

Regardless, the dealer has had this machine for as long as I have, any communication with the dealer has been from me making first contact, and I had to call corporate to find out any real information other than "sorry you just spent over 25k on this and it has a critical failure causing downtime and lost money not mentioning transportation expenses, but well fix it for ya". Maybe i'm out of line here but in the industry i'm from that's not how business is done, especially regarding low hour failures. IMO information should have been of utmost importance from dealer to corporate back to dealer to end user. Then when a solution has been found, it should of been expedited, talkin' red-freight air those parts to get customer up and going again.

Your points are all well taken and from what you’ve said you should be super aggravated.

Interested know how they could’ve diagnosed over the phone?

Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but something like this is not going to get resolved in a few days, specially if it’s a small dealer.

Also, Upstate Papi, what issue took a year to resolve for you?

CEL coming on and immediately losing RPMs, sometimes to the point of shutting off. 1st time was around 12 hours or so. Went from thinking regen was out of whack so they reprogrammed everything, to thinking I had used bad fuel (Kioti paid to have the fuel filter replaced and lines drained (only drained, remember that). The 3rd time escapes me what they did/thought. The last time (4th) - 6 weeks at the dealer's shop. Kioti made them run this test, that test (due diligence, I get it). Had them check the wiring harness and even when reported that it was OK, Kioti had them order a new one and replace it. I don't recall (it's all a blur now - lol) if it was the harness or another part but the tractor sat at the dealer for a week plus due to the part being back-ordered (what Kioti told our dealer repeatedly as we called our dealer every day or so). My wife called Kioti Customer Service to complain/question/etc and mysteriously the part arrived at our dealer the next morning??!!? All of that, and I don't recall what the dealer's tech told me exactly, but he either pulled the fuel filter again or blew out a fuel line and pieces of plastic came out of the line(s). He then blew them all out to find more and more chips. Kioti rep on hand and they agreed that the chips were from the plastic diesel tank from when either Kioti's supplier or Kioti's assembly process drilled out holes in the tank and failed to clean the tank out properly. Off to the side, I was told by my tech guy that the rep told him (off to the side) that they were aware of it, had seen on several other units. HUH!??! Tractor is at the dealer with 45 hours on it. I have put about 17 of them on it. The dealer running tests, running it up and down the road over the past year trying this and that per Kioti, has put on the other 28 hrs. You (Kioti) had the dealer replace the fuel filter, called it bad fuel almost 10 months ago and didn't remember this then?!?!? Sigh...

Sorry for rambling. I'm not a great orator via the keyboard. Hope that answers your question. Again, it is all a blur now AND as I mentioned, almost 4 hours on it since getting it back the last time, most of that running it hard trying mow down our 4-5 foot tall back yard and it howled like a champ!
