Tractor two weeks old used the backhoe twice and the stabilizer bar bent downward. The pressure from the hydraulic bent the ends downward. The arms are made from 3" channel Iron. Why did they bend downward? Was the tractor 3720 to heavy for the ends to side together as it raised and thus bent the arms down? It eventually broke a weld on the hydraulic mounting plate. picture / \, instead of sliding together it just bent the metal. Is there anyone else that has had similar problems with JD 375 backhoe?

Wow this is really strange. Im assuming you will be contacting the dealer about this but I am wondering if for some reason your stabalizer arms are not the correct ones for that machine. I know the smaller hoe's 46 and 260 hoes use a channel type stabalizer but Im almost positive yours should be a rectangle tube style... Not sure if its possible to "mix" up the arms but you never know.. A parts diagram would show this also. Good luck, and let us know what you find.

It's channel on my friend's 3320 and 375 BH and he just twisted his stabilizer arms and bent the piston with the BH hydraulics. I think he pulled the machine into the arms and rolled or twisted both the arms and the framework. He considered upgrading to a 448 or 48 or whatever it's called these days but is going to have a welding shop add some steel to the existing arms instead.
