I backed into what looked like a rotted stump. It wasn't so rotted. Hit fairly squaure, bent in the arms that go to top link.

Heck of a time rigging it up with a chain, to get out of woods.

Best thing to do is repair. I wonder about a shorter top link? I realize this is a hack thing to do.

Mostly use it in woods. Though I did cut back a hill yesterdat, and still need to smooth it out.

King Cutter, 60", $600. I hate to just scrap it. Not sure how much a welder would charge.

Opinions? Thanks.

Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to repair. You said the arms bent but mentioned a welder. Is there broken metal or just bent?

Both arms on top are bent.

I got it out in the dark, so pics.

But bent arms in and causes it sit few inches off ground, with top link turned all the way in.

I read about 13" that goes from 27 to 25. Mine is about 21 hoLe hole.

It's cheap, I may try, just to see if it gets me going right away. It is summer time.

Dropprd, rehookrd, drove forward a fee times aND lifted up with chain. Maybe couple more inches. About 5" off ground.

X2, need pictures. Sounds like a simple repair, minor fab job. But pictures will give us an idea of what advice to give, to attempt repairs on your own, or by others.

Wow... must have been quite a hit, and junk metal. Would not expect one built like that to wrinkle up so bad.

8" stump, top was frayed, and loomed pretty soft. Typically I spin my wheels before anything happens. I have hooked stuff before, and backed in .

I think I was in low. I left firewood out there, get a pic. I thought I did dumber things this.
