Bent Lift Arms

So I screwed up and bent the lift arms up front on my 5600. Caught something hard with the tip of the bucket and twisted the arms. Anybody had this problem and straightened them? I'm thinking I could twist them back with a big payloader I have acces to. Don't really feel like buying new arms and it's a pain in the *** not having the bucket level.

How badly are the 'arms' bent? One of my TC's had a bent QA Plate that the dealer straightened out with an excavator. If the 'bend' is extreme, you might want to remove them to have them straightened.

If you have a body shop nearby, that has an old fashioned frame rack, they should be able to get them straight.

Look for an older, run down shop. Few modern ones still have a frame rack.

Also had this happen took it to a frame shop they got it done BUT still off a little, should of went past a little

I work for the Huron School Dist. We have 2 toolcats and we had the front arms get bent on one of ours also. we had to take ours to a metal shop. They cut it off at the very front of the arms were the welds are and rewelded it back on. It works pretty good now.

How straight are the arms now after welding them back on? I have tried to bend them back but the frame on the Toolcat just flexes and I don't want to bend the frame. It looks like if I cut and weld to straighten the arms they will look a little lopsided but should work perfect.
