Has anyone use one of the rakes that the tines are fastened to a larger vee belts? The advertisements say they won't braid the hay so the hay stay fluffier and drys better. They looked pretty simple design. A dealer has a used one in his inventory, but, didn't have a price on it yet. bjr

I have never seen one up close but on youtube there are a lot videos of walk behind belt rakes being used over in europe.they look like they work good and make a nice fluffy windrow in the videos i have seen the hay stems are kind of stood up looks like it would dry good.

We use one a heublitz. It makes a windrow like a rotary but its only 9 ft wide. I gave 200$ for it at a yardsale. My only complaint is how slow it is to rake lots of acres. A twin hitch with 2 raking into the middle would be ideal.
