I can see some belt dusting on the deck and can see that the belt rubs against the belt guard supports and guard at times. Anyone else had this problem and know what the cause/fix may be?

Is your belt tensioner able to move freely and is it staying tight? Are all the pulleys lined up and tight (we have had several pulleys come loose on our BX2660)?

I've got the same deck with about a 140hrs on it. On mine there has been a little evidence of the belt occasionally rubbing on the guard, but nothing that would suggest that it is a constant thing. I haven't not had reason to look into it but I would imagine it might have something to do with the belt tensioning spring. Not to sound snotty but have you checked your manual for the ability to adjust tension? I know I should know this myself being and owner and having read the manual, just can't remember for the life of me if there is useful information in the manual.

If its like the deck on our BX2660, there is a spring that pulls on the tensioner arm and a pulley that mounts to the same arm.
The pivot on the arm likes to stick, so I have had to take the belt off and move it around to get it to take grease and "unstick" itself.

Thank you for quick response and I am systematically checking all the above, everything looks fine. I have not mowed above 2500rpm and some report higher rpm will resolve some of the above problem, but I am in the break in period so staying under 2700rpm. I have contacted dealer and one of his employees has observed the flopping. I will call dealer again tomorrow to decide what to do. I am 50 miles away. I read Mozark's thread about same issue. He added two idlerwheels to his deck to take up slack and help prevent flopping. He reported it worked. It is under warranty will see!

Threads indicate that there are no true adjustments to tension-er, but that it can get stuck in wrong position. I am in contact with dealer and hope to resolve but I know there are folks out there that have probably had similar issues. I am trying to get ahead of problem solving. Mozark had same issue and added idler wheels to his deck-it worked, trying to get more info from him about his modification. Thank you for quick help this my first day on this-outstanding resource. This reply was meant for Panik. I am not sure what I did wrong. I guess you just respond once to all above persons.

On our BX2660 the idler arm only moves a little in normal use, so it gets sticky, then it "sticks" so that the belt isnt quite tight and then it won't take grease. Pulling the belt off and moving the arm back and forth gets it moving enough to take grease and start moving again.

I think I need to look at that with the deck off and belt loose---wonder why some stick others don't?

First, since this is a new machine it should NOT do this and your dealer should fix it. If they don't then you know.......... well enough said about that. Second, I told you that you'd get answers here.
Third, At the bottom of the post there are 3 choices...Reply....Reply With Quote.....and a ? with +. If you click Reply the screen opens for you to type your post. If you click Reply With Quote it will add the post your reading to the box and then you type what your response to that specific post is. Now comes the 3rd option which allows you to add to your reply box more than one of the posts in that particular thread. Go down the thread and click the plus to all that you want to be included in your reply but end up with the last/final one and click the Reply With Quote button and then all of the pluses and the Reply with Quote will be added to your reply box where you can answer each one and then post with answers/questions/comments to each post. I like to click the B at the top of the box which makes your answer BOLD and sort of seperates it from the other persons reply.
