Not sure if anyone is interested in this or not. But thought I would throw this out there.
I made this tiller in 2014. At the time I could not find anything like it. We had a decent size garden 40'x50'. It took a lot of time and effort to walk around behind a tiller, so I got creative.
It is driven off the engine pulley for the mower deck, and is raised/lowered using the handle by the seat. It tills the width of the tires + a hair.
Since this Pic I have updated it to the V.02 for the Husqvarna 48" mower we currently have. No Pics of that yet. But will be tilling again soon, so I can get some if desired.

Let me know if you all would like more details about it.

It looks very good!

I have 1976 JD 300 with a factory JD rototiller and it also works great, but sorry I do not care for the effort it takes to remove and re-install it.
For a large area rototilling I use 48" 3 point tiller and for smaller areas an old Troybilt Horse I fixed up years ago.

My thinking changed after I bought a used compact front end loader 4x4 tractor with 3-point attachment setup back in the 90's...

Thank you.
The one I made was out of a craftsman walk-behind I got cheap from a local repair shop. I paid scrap price for it. Picked up the parts needed to rebuild the case for a few bucks(shaft seals and bearings), and picked up a second set of tines & shields to make it wider (36"). All in to build it was maybe $150~200. Times were tight back then... When I got the new husky mower 2 years ago, all I had to do was adapt the mount brackets a little to make it work. The ATV tires for the mower were more expensive then the whole build. Of course they were move to the new Husky.
I made this before I acquired the B2150 last year. It came with a tiller. But with the chain-link around the garden, and over head guy wire watering setup, the 2150 and tiller are to big to maneuver around.
Here is a Pic of it in my messy garden shed with a few details noted.

I remove the mower deck, then back over the frame and hook it up. 4 pins, the drive belt, and I'm off. The clutch cable in this pic was for the Craftsman, I replace it with a tension spring since the Husky has an electric PTO for the mower deck.

A clever installation. I’ve often thought of doing something similar with my Craftsman LT 2000 tractor but never got round to it. I use an electric tiller for a small area but it’s not up to doing the larger plot I plan to start soon.

Originally it was for a DLT3000.

Do you have plans? How can I get one made? Do the tines spin at the same speed as the pulley off the engine?

74mrkol,
Welcome to TBN.

Not sure if you noticed, but the last post by the OP (Original Poster) was 4 years ago.

That is really cool, and if you're still around I'd love to see some photos of the Husqvarna.
